Thomas Hutin is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Paris. Mr. Hutin has 25 years of cybersecurity experience, specifically within the aerospace and defence, public sector, finance, transportation, and energy and resources industries.

Mr. Hutin leads FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice in France with strong expertise in cybersecurity audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, red teaming, cyber incident response, and managed security services, especially cyber threat intelligence.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hutin served as a Partner in the Cyber Risk Services practice at a “Big Four.” During his tenure, he supported clients in their cybersecurity journey from strategy, roadmap, and operating model development to incident response and throughout the M&A process.

Mr. Hutin previously served as a Director at Thales, where he provided cybersecurity consulting for the public sector and critical operators and led their ‘Cybersecurity Transformation’ plan, a strategic initiative that leveraged cybersecurity as a competitive advantage for all Thales civil activities.

Elected as the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Cybersecurity Task Force of AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) in 2015, he actively participated in defining the European position within the industry and propositions to address the cybersecurity challenges of air transport.

In 2000, Mr. Hutin joined Baltimore Technologies, a European leader of asymmetric cryptography, and held several positions: Presales Manager for France, for Southern Europe, and for Continental Europe before taking over responsibility for France as Country Manager.

He previously was appointed Information Security Officer for the French Presidency (Elysée).

Mr. Hutin has an engineering degree in Information Technology from the Institut Supérieur d’Electronic de Paris (ISEP) and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity & Cyberdefence from Telecom Paris.
