Orla Cox is a Managing Director in FTI’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice, based in Dublin, Ireland. At FTI, Orla specializes in assisting companies with their communications response to complex cybersecurity incidents and data breaches, across multiple jurisdictions.
Orla helps companies develop tailored strategies to mitigate the reputational impact of an incident, addressing all aspects of the response, from internal communications and stakeholder engagement to media engagement and breach notifications. Orla also helps companies develop and evolve crisis management plans and procedures through structured reviews, training and live exercises.
Prior to joining FTI, Orla was head of threat intelligence communications at Symantec, a leading cybersecurity company. In her 20 years at Symantec, Orla was at the forefront of investigations and responses to notable cybersecurity incidents such as Stuxnet and the WannaCry ransomware attacks.
Orla holds a BA in International Marketing and Languages and MSc in PR and Strategic Communications, both from Dublin City University.
