Ms. Mitchum leads a variety of cybersecurity and privacy teams to establish programs and processes, conduct regulatory and compliance audits, carry out incident response and crisis management, and support litigation and complex investigative activities. Ms. Mitchum’s client delivery highlights include content moderation, regulatory response efforts, and conducting compliance assessments for multiple global technology firms. She also drives strategic initiatives around technology deployment, legal and process improvement, and optimizing operations and staffing. She has worked with a breadth of clients from Fortune 500 companies to high-net-worth individuals and has clients in sports and entertainment, technology, transportation, retail, data services, and financial services. In addition, she has experiential knowledge of regulatory requirements, including ISO, SOC, and GDPR, amongst others, and controls frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Ms. Mitchum served as a Director of Deployments within the Global Security department at Proxy, a mobile access and identity management technology company. There, she helped steer the engineering product lifecycle around customer product security, privacy, and user experience. Ms. Mitchum also held various roles within the Global Security team at WeWork. She most recently managed executive projects involving Legal, Privacy, Operations, Information Security, and Technology, and built out their Global Security Operations Center. Prior to that, she managed their global Enterprise Security Program, helping keep WeWork clients digitally protected and building out standards for technology.

In addition, Ms. Mitchum has prior consulting experience at a Washington D.C. consulting firm helping private and public clients gain certifications from the Department of Homeland Security around anti-terrorism measures and security industry best practices.

Ms. Mitchum holds a bachelor’s degree in political theory with a minor in Mandarin Chinese and science, technology, the environment, and public policy.
