Marygrace Shaffer is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Washington, DC. She has more than 14 years of experience in project management, privacy, automation, data and analytics, internal controls, and regulatory compliance assessments. In her role, Ms. Shaffer develops and implements tactical strategies to address clients’ evolving and complex needs. She has experience delivering impactful solutions to internal project teams, clients, and executives and is accomplished at creating and sustaining client and team relationships in concert with delivering quality, useful, and effective work products.

At FTI Consulting, Ms. Shaffer leads teams in support of program assessments, strategic roadmaps, risk and regulatory compliance assessments, internal audits, and compliance programs. Ms. Shaffer’s client delivery highlights include leading regulatory compliance and privacy assessments for large technology firms, managing and advising multiple project workstreams to enhance a large privacy program’s audit posture, and conducting strategic roadmap development and implementation services. Ms. Shaffer has worked with clients in both the public and private sectors for data and analytics services, financial improvement and audit readiness services, and internal controls assessments and has experiential knowledge in GDPR, DMA, DSA, FTC, and FCC regulatory compliance.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Ms. Shaffer served as an Advisory Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she provided automation and project management support to account teams, led various analytics workstreams, and provided technical guidance to team members and clients. In this role, she has provided a variety of project management and analytical support to various programs relating to strategic supplier and supply chain alliances, supplier engagement, strategic sourcing, federal services management, continuous process improvement, procurement, financial management, training and talent development, advanced automation, analytics, and data visualization.

Ms. Shaffer holds a master’s degree in business analytics from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in government and international politics from George Mason University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
