Javier Garcia-Chappell is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Technology segment and is based in Madrid. He has 19 years of professional experience in forensic technology. Mr. Garcia-Chappell focused on the areas of computer forensic analysis, eDiscovery, data analysis and cyber incidents, having become an expert handling all different types of projects, amongst which are included arbitration and litigation proceedings, competition reviews, fraud investigations, security breaches, bribery and corruption, etc.
Mr. Garcia-Chappell began his professional career in the UK in September 2003 at the Digital Evidence Recovery & Internet Crime Unit, as part of the North Yorkshire Trading Standards special investigations team, working across the UK with, and for, different law enforcement organisations, agencies and government bodies.
In June 2008, Mr. Garcia-Chappell joined the Forensic Technology team at Control Risks Group in London, until joining KPMG’s Forensic department in Madrid in 2011, where he led the Iberian Forensic Technology team as Senior Manager for over 8 years.
Mr. Garcia-Chappell holds a B.Sc. in International Management from the University of Surrey, a Master of Science degree in Internet Computing from the University of Hull, a Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Consulting from the University of Cranfield, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism from the Rey Juan Carlos University.
