David Turner is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Leader of FTI Consulting’s Data & Analytics practice and is based in Washington, DC. For more than 25 years, he has provided consulting services to Fortune 500 clients in the areas of structured data analytics, focusing on event based transactions. His concentrations have included information technology consulting and data management, dispute resolution, investigation and litigation support services, distressed company services, and business performance improvement.
Mr. Turner has significant experience in information technology consulting, helping clients assess and remediate business critical information and data flow, performance improvement, benchmarking, metric development and analysis, and analytical processes. He has knowledge performing detailed financial analysis for litigation and investigation support, including extensive document and data discovery and management, and enterprise system analysis. He has extensive experience conducting corporate investigations, where he has handled complex data analysis and strategies for issues arising from corporate inquiries, regulatory enforcement, corporate distress, whistle blower claims, audit board issues, and asset liability management, most recently in the financial services, pharmaceutical and automotive industries. He has experience in general bankruptcy administration and developing expert reports related to liability assessment and claims process.
Mr. Turner also has significant engagement management experience including interacting with and maintaining client relationships, billing and collecting, developing work plans, supervising and training senior and staff consultants and managing and meeting all engagement deadlines and budgets. For the past fourteen years, Mr. Turner has trained professionals in areas damage calculation, economic and financial modeling, successful client engagement management, database design and development, and cost allocation theory.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Turner managed economic and financial consulting services at Arthur Andersen and information technology and process improvement consulting at Capital One Financial.
Mr. Turner holds a B.S. in commerce with concentrations in finance and marketing from The University of Virginia, is a member of the Information Governance Initiative (IGI) and serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of Back on my Feet.
