Courtney Klein is a Senior Consultant in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Klein served as a program manager and advisor to the Assistant Director and Deputy Assistant Directors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Cyber Division. While at the FBI, she played a pivotal role the FBI Cyber Division’s external outreach program. This included managing the FBI’s presence at external conferences; preparing FBI senior leadership to speak at cyber-related events; preparing senior FBI leadership for Capitol Hill hearings and briefings; and serving as the central repository for the FBI’s overarching messaging on cyber topics and cases.
Additionally at the FBI, Ms. Klein served as a personal advisor to the former Assistant Director of Cyber Division. In this position she assisted in the management of the FBI Cyber Division’s daily operations and overarching strategic planning, as well as coordinated with the Director and Deputy Director’s staff on cyber related issues, events, and inquiries.
Prior to the FBI, Ms. Klein served as a proposal/capture manager at GovernmentCIO (GCIO), a government IT contracting firm. In this position, she managed the development of IT proposals for U.S. Government clients, including conducting business development, fostering industry outreach, drafting submissions for solicitations, and managing a team of IT experts. Ms. Klein also served as the interim editor-in-chief of GovernmentCIO Magazine.
Ms. Klein holds a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, with a concentration in Security, and a certificate in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS).
