Adriana Villasenor is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in New York. She has more than 20 years of experience managing tech, crisis, cyber, and litigation communications for publicly traded and privately held organizations, from global financial technology firms to billion-dollar consumer brands.
Ms. Villasenor advises companies facing complex crises, executing high-velocity, multi-stakeholder communication programs. She supports clients facing the immediate and long-term consequences of cyber incidents, including litigation. In addition to reactive advisory, Ms. Villasenor counsels clients with proactive strategies to mitigate cybersecurity and reputational risks, including highly tailored tabletop exercises, cybersecurity assessments, and cyber and disinformation communications plans and playbooks.
With more than a decade of in-house experience reporting to C-Suite executives at some of the largest financial technology and payment platforms, Ms. Villasenor advises financial services clients seeking to safeguard their market positioning by bolstering their cybersecurity and operational resilience, including large cryptocurrency firms and industry utilities.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, she was the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), where she led the financial services industry’s media response during large-scale cyber threats and incidents facing the sector. During her tenure, Ms. Villasenor helped transform the member-facing platforms, created new products in response to emerging risks, and enabled the firm’s international expansion.
Before joining FS-ISAC, she managed communications and public affairs for SWIFT, SunGard Financial Systems (now FIS), CEMEX, and PepsiCo Inc.
Ms. Villasenor is fluent in English and Spanish and has working knowledge of Portuguese.
