SITUATION
FTI Consulting was retained to act as an external, third-party assessor and conduct a series of assessments for a global financial data, analytics, and technology company. The client required quarterly testing and reports every two years on the results.
OUR ROLE
FTI Consulting focused on assessing the comprehensiveness of the client’s information security program and testing the design and operational effectiveness of all security controls under the program. We provided weekly status updates on domain review status and potential observations, RFI tracker updates, control table updates, and completed control walkthroughs. Our team also helped ensure that future risk assessments met the agency’s regulatory and reporting requirements.
OUR IMPACT
Our experts performed regular security assessments for the company and assisted with their conformance to industry best practices and widely recognized cybersecurity frameworks. We provided a comprehensive assessment to counsel and opined as to whether the client had complied with the mandated regulations.
