Katie R. Donnelly is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Washington, D.C. Ms. Donnelly has over 10 years of experience partnering with clients to solve challenging, complex problems.

At FTI Consulting, she leads teams that handle a broad range of cybersecurity matters, including complex cybersecurity investigations, advanced cybersecurity assessments and strategy, crisis management, litigation support, source code review, cyber-regulatory compliance, and advanced threat detection and prevention.

Ms. Donnelly has served on engagement leadership teams for several prominent Silicon Valley tech companies advising on matters spanning from class action litigations to fraudulent activity investigations, data compromises, and privacy concerns, as well as analyses of potential anticompetitive practices. In these engagements, Ms. Donnelly was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the overall projects, including several outside subject matter experts. Her roles included performing research and analysis, ensuring project efficiency, conducting interviews, and coordinating and presenting results to clients.

Ms. Donnelly has also had integral roles on large-scale, multifaceted investigations. She was a key member of the FTI Consulting team that provided investigative and litigation support to the Trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities. During this engagement, Ms. Donnelly’s primary focus was developing intricate fact patterns to provide detailed analysis and descriptions of key information to the client. Her investigative work directly contributed to the largest single civil forfeiture in U.S. history, and was used to compensate victims of Madoff’s fraud.

Ms. Donnelly received the 2019 Women Leaders in Consulting award for her Excellence in Client Service from Consulting magazine. She graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and a minor in economics. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
