George Platsis is a Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Platsis has more than 15 years of experience in business development, risk/crisis management, resilience, cyber and information security, and cultural relations. He has worked in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia and attained US permanent residency as an EB-1A (E11) individual of extraordinary ability for his work as a Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy Specialist.
Mr. Platsis primarily focuses on human factor vulnerabilities related to cybersecurity, information security and data security. He advises on cybersecurity/business-related issues, including technology assessment, policy review, framework development and implementation, and cost savings measures. Concurrently as an educator, he develops and delivers training material, including at the executive level, and offers one-on-one coaching for data and device handling.
In addition, Mr. Platsis is an author and public speaker. Mr. Platsis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours), Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management, Master of Laws, and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Policy.
