Geoff Budge is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Technology segment and is based in Cape Town. Mr. Budge has more than 24 years of experience in technology, risk management, software design and development, and IT project management.
Mr. Budge has international and regional experience in delivering reactive investigations, proactive forensic risk management and other technology-focused consulting engagements. These covered fraud investigations, intellectual property compliance reviews, digital evidence recovery, data analysis, litigation support & testimony and IT consulting engagements.
Mr. Budge has contributed to and managed various forensic investigations across a wide range of industries and areas of business, including procurement, accounts payable and human resources at major financial institutions, government departments, mining houses, airlines and large retailers. A factor critical to the success of previous engagements has been Mr. Budge’s drive to incorporate technology and data analytic techniques to ensure a positive outcome in the most efficient manner.
During Mr. Budge’s career, he has developed and utilized many technical skills and proficiencies related to general forensics as well as technology-focused investigations, software development (programming and database management) and advanced data analytics. Mr. Budge has focused on employing technology wherever possible when conducting forensic investigations.
