Dr. Frank Damm is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Düsseldorf. Dr. Damm has more than 30 years of experience in the field of information security. His extensive expertise includes serving as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), where he played a pivotal role in guiding organisations within the telecommunications, logistics, and information technology sectors to fortify their information security infrastructure.
At FTI Consulting, Dr. Damm provides invaluable strategic counsel to clients, addressing critical areas such as cybersecurity strategy, cybersecurity transformation programmes, and cybersecurity governance.
Prior to his tenure at FTI Consulting, Dr. Damm held the position of Senior Manager at a large Big Four firm, contributing significantly to the firm’s Cybersecurity practice. His extensive experience extends to leading complex ICT projects across diverse markets, and navigating intricate regulatory landscapes with finesse. In this role, Dr. Damm oversaw the comprehensive coordination of ICT projects, including the successful implementation of internal Identity and Access Management (IAM) and incident management systems.
Additionally, Dr. Damm spent approximately a decade in the role of IT Manager and Programme Manager at a prominent German logistics company.
Dr. Damm holds a PhD in Cryptology and Information Security from the University of Cologne, in addition to an ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
Dr. Damm also currently serves as the head of the expert group for IT security management at the German Informatics Society (GI e.V.), where he continues to shape and influence the industry’s direction.
