
Andrew Johnston is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Wayne, PA. Mr. Johnston has a comprehensive background assisting executive stakeholders from legal, records, information technology, and information security departments to identify, develop, evaluate, and implement robust data privacy, cybersecurity, and information governance processes, programs, and solutions.
Mr. Johnston provides consulting to corporate clients, with a focus on designing, implementing, and enabling change management for information governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and e-discovery programs. Mr. Johnston has expertise in advising companies on the processes and technology to effectively address legal and regulatory matters and to improve information quality and lifecycle management to support operational excellence.
Mr. Johnston has extensive experience providing law firms and corporate clients with strategic transformation recommendations and work plans in response to their legal and regulatory challenges. His recommendations prioritize the identification, mitigation, and remediation of privacy and cybersecurity risks.
Mr. Johnston leads consulting efforts across the lifecycle of complex litigations, investigations, and transactions. He leverages expertise in analytics across various document review platforms to decrease litigation and investigation costs by improving the speed, accuracy, and defensibility of the discovery process. Additionally, he has worked closely with law firms and corporate counsel to develop defensible acquisition, review, and production procedures for responses to requests from various states’ Attorneys General, Civil Investigative Demands, and internal investigations. He has extensive experience leading analytical review efforts focused on identifying key fact material quickly and efficiently for use in internal investigation interviews, depositions, and trials.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2005, Mr. Johnston worked with Arnold & Porter as a legal assistant, supporting discovery and trial preparation efforts related to mass tort litigation. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University at University Park.
